Reverend Dr. Michael A. Chambers, BCC-PTSD, CPM, CAMS-II

Dr. Michael A. Chambers is a native of Mississippi and a seasoned pastor, leader, and trauma-informed
care practitioner with over three decades of ministry and nonprofit leadership experience. He is married to
Lizzie B. Chambers (née Davis), and together they have shared 29 years of marriage. He is the proud
father of four adult children—Nicholas, Nykia, Aja, and Sean—and grandfather of two, Sean and Summer.


Dr. Chambers accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at an early age and has faithfully served in
ministry for thirty-six years. Throughout his career, he has provided pastoral care, leadership development,
coaching, and mentorship to individuals, organizations, and military veterans navigating complex life
challenges. He is widely regarded as a trusted voice for those seeking clarity, healing, and purpose during
critical seasons of life. Known for his compassionate approach and commitment to excellence, Dr.
Chambers integrates spiritual insight with evidence-informed strategies to support transformation,
resilience, and life preservation.


He is a retired Clinical Board-Certified Chaplain with the Veterans Health Administration, where he provided
spiritual care and crisis support in high-stress and trauma-exposed environments. His work includes
addressing Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), moral injury, suicide risk, emotional dysregulation,
anger management, anxiety, depression, and spiritual distress. He has extensive experience in suicide
prevention, crisis response, and stabilization, particularly among veterans and individuals facing acute
emotional and psychological distress.


Dr. Chambers currently serves as the Senior Pastor of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia. He
has also served as Senior Pastor in multiple regions, including Baltimore, Maryland; Tupelo, Mississippi;
Macon, Georgia; and Daytona Beach, Florida, leading congregations through seasons of growth, transition,
and community impact. In addition to his pastoral leadership, he has developed and implemented multiple
programs designed to support military veterans, strengthen leaders, and provide structured emotional
regulation, anger management, and suicide prevention interventions for individuals and groups. He is also a
veteran of the United States Army.


He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Faulkner University, a Master of Divinity from New
Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Doctorate from United Theological Seminary. He has also
completed additional graduate studies in business at the University of Baltimore.

Dr. Chambers is the founder of the Healing Faith Institute, a division of Chambers Life Solutions, LLC,
where he provides trauma-informed leadership training, emotional regulation frameworks, suicide
prevention strategies, and structured anger management programs for individuals, churches, courts, and
high-demand professional environments. His work is anchored in the development of the Operational
Resilience in Repetitive High-Exposure Environments (ORRHE)™  framework, equipping individuals and
organizations to reduce emotional fatigue, improve decision-making, and sustain long-term personal and
leadership effectiveness.
